LAKE BUNYONYI NATIONAL PARK

Lake Bunyonyi is found in the South Western part of Uganda lying between Kisoro and Kabale close to the boarder of Uganda and Rwandan. It is Uganda’s deepest lake in the region and said to be the second deepest lake in Africa lying on an altitude of about 1960meters above sea level and it has 29 islands. The Lake is among Uganda’s few lakes that are Bilharzia free and safe for swimming.
It is a 7-hour drive from Kampala to Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi also appears on the Uganda’s fifty-thousand-shilling note. It is on of Uganda’s finest worth visiting.
