Detailed itinerary

Day 1

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, southwestern Uganda about 9 hours’ drive and have a stopover at Equator for relaxation, photography and Igongo Cultural Center for lunch. From Mbarara we shall proceed to Bwindi National Park then check in at our reserved lounge.

Day 2

Gorilla trekking and visit to Batwa community

Early morning, we take you through a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and regulations. You trekkers will be put into groups of 8 visitors. The trek starts at around 8:00am and will be accompanied by a ranger guide. The trek will last for about 3-6 hours. After you will get back to the lodge and later have a visit to Batwa Community for cultural tour.

Day 3

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning, we set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is a home to tree climbing lions and many other savanna grassland inhabitants. In the afternoon, you will have a boat trip on Kazinga channel where we shall get the best view of hippos, crocodiles, water birds among others.

Day 4

Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning new take you for a game drive along Kasenyi track of Queen Elizabeth National Park where we shall get to see a variety of wildlife species including birds, leopards, lions, bush elephants, antelopes among others. From here, we return to have lunch and, in the afternoon, then go for launch trip. This will be accompanied by a boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park via Kazinga Channel which gets you a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, water birds and other many other species.

Day 5

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Early morning you go on another morning game drive if still want to have extra fun. The wildlife species to spot out include warthogs, lions, bush elephants, leopards, birds and others. Later on, we drive you to Kibale National Park which is about 3 hours’ drive.

Day 6

Chimpanzee tracking and guided nature walks

After a morning briefing, you will set off for your actual trek at 8:00am and trek for about 3 hours and once you find the chimps, you have one hour to explore their behaviors, take as many photos as you wish. Return for lunch and in the afternoon, you have nature walk in Bigodi Wetland. We can also take guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland gets you amazing sights at variety of primates including the red olive baboons, vervet monkeys, colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, birds and several mammal species.

Day 7

Drive back to Kampala

After morning breakfast, we drive you back to Kampala about.

The 6 day Uganda safari takes Kibale National Park for chimps tracking, habituation experience, birding or night forest walk, then Semuliki National Reserve for night game drive or Sempaya hot-springs tour, end with an expedition to the marvelous Queen Elizabeth National Park for big game viewing and a fantastic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel
