Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Detailed itinerary of the 6 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari

Day 1

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Early morning, we brief you about the tour and the drive you to Kibale National Park which is found in western Uganda about 4 hours’ drive. You will drive via Kampala-Mubende-Fort Portal route to Kibale National Park. You will make a stopover along the way for lunch. After, proceed to Kibale Forest National Park.

Day 2

Chimpanzee tracking and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning after breakfast we will visitor for briefing. Then trek to see chimpanzees in the jungles of Kibale National Park were shall encounter black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, red colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys and other. Once you come across chimpanzees, you will have one hour of magical encounter and then you get back to the lodge to check out and be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park about 3 hours’ drive.

Day 3

Game drive via Kasenyi track and Launch trip via Kazinga Channel

Early morning you will embark on a morning game drive via Kasenyi track which will last you about 3 hours. On a game drive, you have a chance to see variety of wildlife species including the leopards, lions, African bush elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and many bird species. Later, drive back to the lodge to have lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you will set off for launch trip via Kazinga Channel where you will look out for the water inhabitants such as hippos, crocodiles and water birds.

Day 4

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

In the morning start your road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha sector which gets you a chance to spot out the tree climbing lions on tree branches. Have a stopover at Savanna Resort for lunch and then proceed to Bwindi National Park to check in at a lodge of your choice.

Day 5:

Gorilla trekking and a visit to Batwa community

Early morning gather at gorilla trekking region for briefing on guidelines for gorilla trekking. You will be assigned to one gorilla family to track in a group of 7 people and one park ranger guide will accompany you. A trek to view these large apes can last you about 2-5 hours depending on your speed of hiking, nature of habitat and location of gorillas. A maximum of one hour is given to you to have a face to face encounter them, take their pictures and learn how they behave. Later, you will return to the lodge and relax then in the evening you will pay a visit to Batwa community to have cultural exploration, enjoy the cultural dances and music performances.

Day 6

Transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe 

Get the best taste of your tea or coffee and after, meet your driver guide ready to make a return road trip to Kampala or Entebbe.
