The 3 days Kidepo tour involves exploring Kidepo Valley National Park which is set in northeastern Uganda about 11hours’ drive from Kampala. This tour covers game drives with opportunity to view diverse savanna wildlife species and cultural exploration. Kidepo National Park has a variety of species such as hyenas, over 470 bird species, African elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, , antelopes and many others. Your 3 days Kidepo safari will commence and end in Kampala/Entebbe.

Day 1

Transfer from Kampala to Mgahinga National Park

The journey to Mgahinga National Park covers 540kms that is 8-10 hours’ drive. Early morning with our driver guide drive you via Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara route. Aong the way we make a stopovers Mpambire drum makers and Equator for photography and a short picnic. In Mbarara, you will stopover at Igongo Cultural Center for lunch and then proceed to Mgahinga National Park.

Day 2

Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga National Park

After a delicious breakfast at your respective safari lodge, you will gather at Ntebeko Visitor Center for briefing on the set guidelines for gorilla trekking. Nyakagezi gorilla group will be assigned to you to track in a group of 10 visitors since it is the only habituated family set for tourism in Mgahinga National Park. The expedition will take about 2-6 hours depending on your speed of weather, hiking, nature of habitat and location of mountain these primates. You have only an hour of encounter with these great primates once you find them with a chance to take as many photos as possible, explore their behaviors and body gestures. After, you will get back to the lodge to have rest, dine and spend a night.

Day 3

Drive back to Kampala

Have breakfast early in the morning and after, check out from your lodge ready to embark on return journey to Kampala.
