3 Days Semiliki Tour Uganda

Our 3 day Safari will take you to Semuliki National Park in Western Uganda in Bundibugyo district Bwamba County in just near Fortpotal town. The park harbors an extension of Congos Ituri rainforest.

Semliki national park is a habitant to around 50 mammal species, 370 butterfly species over 290 tree species, , and over 400 bird species making the park one of the best birding spotting ground in the tropics hence reffered to as True birders haven.

Animal of different species will be spotted such as elephants, vervet monkeys Hyenas, cats, white tailed and the slender mongoose, buffaloes, leopards, among others. While touring at the park activities such as Game drives (day and night game drives), chimpanzee trekking, and bird watching among others.

Day 1

Travel to Semuliki- Night game drive

Early morning travel to Semuliki National Park, it is about an 8 hours’ drive from Kampala. Since it’s a long hour drive, we stopover and grab some lunch along the way. On reaching the park, check in at the lodge.

In the evening go for a night game drive through the park. Diner an Overnight at our reserved lounges.

Day 2

Explore the Park- Sempaya hot springs, Waterfall visit, Chimpanzee trekking,

and a Game drive.

After morning breakfast, set out and visit the Sempaya hot springs very interesting attractions in Semuliki. This is the largest hot spring in Uganda. These springs have a geyser that shoots up from the 8 meters hole, and the water is at a high temperature. The spring can boil matooke and eggs at about 100 degree and the can be ready in a few minutes.

Along the tour you will to see a number of birds such as the Blue breasted Kingfisher and various primates such as the red-tailed monkeys, and the grey cheeked mangabey. As we continue to Mungilo waterfall where you will have an opportunity of seeing a number of beautiful birds, chimpanzees, leopards, big cats, buffaloes, antelopes, elephants, and lions among others. Also crocodiles and Hippos will be seen along River Semliki. The we to the lounge for dinner sleepover.

Day 3

Return to Kampala

Have a delicious breakfast at the lodge, and start your journey to Kampala with a stopover in Fort portal for lunch then arrive in Kampala in the evening.
